We ordered several of these some time ago and they relieve space on the desks for us; neatly tucked under the desk credenza, out of the way plus a shelf to put a container of envelopes and various stationery items. Very convenient with its caster wheels. So nice that we have ordered another for the new girl's desk and thinking we could use another one for the FAX machine soon. Great! December 10, 2014

      No. There is only a frame to support the top shelf.

      You might be able to modify it by finding a wire shelf that would fit.

      The top shelf is a composite ("particle board") covered by black formica. It is permanently attached, and there is no metal shelf under it.
